Vertu launches the new Constellation Candy phones


Vertu is introducing some fresh new colors to liven up the established line-up.
The collection comprises of three colors, all combined under the Candy moniker. There's the Candy Raspberry, the Candy Mint Green, and finally, the Candy Tangerine.

The phones came complete with a full touch display and a smart OS... Symbian...unfortunately. We guess prospective owners of the ultra-expensive phones didn't mind.Actually, it's not a secret that the touch-enabled Constellation series is based on the  Nokia C7. The phones come with 3.5-inch AMOLED screen, the 32GB of built-in storage, the 8 megapixel fixed focus camera with enhanced depth of field and the 720p video recording.

The Constellation Candy phone collection is available in the UAE, China, EU, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

Nokia drops support for Skype on the Lumia 610

Nokia announced that it is dropping support for the Skype app for Windows Phone on their recently announced Lumia 610. The reason for this, according to Nokia is given below... “Nokia values the user experience provided by its products and services. Therefore, although the Skype Windows Phone version is workable on Nokia Lumia 610, after in-depth testing, we found that the user experience is not up to par with Nokia and Skype’s expectation and decided not recommending users using Skype on Nokia Lumia 610. In the future, users of Nokia Lumia 610 would no longer be able to download Skype Windows Phone version from Window Phone Marketplace. However, Skype Windows Phone version would still be available for other users.” The reason might be due to weaker hardware on Lumia 610 .  This might also rise issues with other apps performance on this phone...
